You’ve been holding it all together. But at what cost?

You barely even notice the weight anymore, but it’s there—in the way your chest tightens before you speak, the way you second-guess every text, the way sleep never quite feels like rest.

You smile. You achieve. You handle it. But underneath, there’s a hum of “something’s off.” And the longer you ignore it, the louder it gets.

So much starts to shift when you stop performing.

・Waking up without dread
・Trusting your gut—and following it
・Saying what you mean without guilt
・Resting without needing to earn it
・Letting go of who you thought you were
・Speaking up, saying no & walking away
・Feeling your emotions without spiraling
・Holding boundaries with clarity & care
・Coming home to your body, truth & Self

We’ll integrate EMDR, IFS, DBR, and somatic work.

Talk therapy can only take you so far. We’ll use integrative trauma-informed approaches to untangle old patterns, soften the protective parts of you, and shift the story your body’s been carrying for years.

Because healing doesn’t happen from the neck up—it happens when your nervous system learns it’s safe to let go.

Stories of real transformation.

“I’m still regularly shocked by the changes I see in myself. Jennifer helped me question the negative narratives in my head which fully transformed the way I feel and interact with the world.”

“Jennifer is compassionate, grounded, and deeply personal—far beyond anything I experienced in traditional talk therapy. Having her in your corner is life-changing; you’ll feel the difference.”

“EMDR Therapy with Jennifer was truly a transformative experience. I’ve gained emotional resilience, self-awareness, and a deeper sense of empathy—for both myself and others.”

Jennifer Budhan, LCSW

New York & Massachusetts EMDR Therapist

I used to be someone who looked great on paper. I had the degrees, the career milestones, the steady sense that I was doing what I was “supposed” to do. But under the surface, I felt disconnected—adrift in a life that wasn’t really mine.

As the eldest daughter of immigrants, I learned early how to keep it together, how to push through, how to succeed. But what I didn’t learn was how to rest, listen to myself, or feel at home in my body.

It wasn’t until I began doing the real work—EMDR, somatic work, and Internal Family Systems—that things started to shift. Slowly, I came back to myself.

Now, I help women unlearn the pressure to perform and come home to who they arefully, freely, and without apology.

Frequently Asked Qs

  • I’m an out-of-network provider and can offer super bills for 60-minute sessions. Insurance typically won’t cover 90-minute sessions or intensives. Private pay allows for deeper, more flexible work—without a diagnosis or restrictions on how we meet.

  • This isn’t about coping—it’s about embodiment. We use EMDR, DBR, somatic work, and IFS to shift what’s held in your body, not just your thoughts. You don’t just talk about it—you move through it.

  • My approach is collaborative and rooted in compassionate accountability. Together, we gently unpack what you’ve been carrying—what’s helped, what’s hurt, and what you’re ready to release. Using proven, trauma-informed strategies, we’ll reconnect you with your agency and help you create the shifts you want in your life.

  • I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) in NY and MA, with a master’s from Smith College. I’m trained in EMDR, DBR, IFS, DBT, and TF-CBT—evidence-based, attachment-centered therapies that go deep and hold you with care.

  • It depends. Some clients stay for a few months, others longer. We check in often. When the work feels done, you’ll know.

  • Because you’re ready for something real. This is a space where you don’t have to perform, please, or prove. You get my full presence, advanced training, and care rooted in truth—not surface-level fixes. You’ll feel it in your body—less bracing, more breath. This is about becoming yourself again.

  • IFS sees you as made up of parts—like the perfectionist, people-pleaser, inner critic, or the part holding quiet rage. Each one formed to protect you. In therapy, we welcome them with curiosity. As they soften, you reconnect with your grounded, wise inner Self.

  • A gentle, deep brain-based approach that targets the original shock beneath your symptoms—without re-telling or reliving the trauma. If talking about it feels too overwhelming, DBR helps your system release what it’s been holding.

  • A trauma and mindset healing approach that centers early relationships and how they shaped your sense of self. It helps parts of you that felt unseen, shamed, or unsafe become integrated and embodied—so you stop living from old survival patterns.

  • Yes. I offer supervision for therapists seeking depth, clarity, and alignment in their work—grounded in EMDR, IFS, DBR, and trauma-informed approaches. Limited spots for individual or small group supervision. Reach out to learn more about availability and fit.
